I had the opportunity to participate in the California African American Museum ( CAAM ) Closing Symposium for We Wanted a Revolution: Black Radical Women, 1965–85. It was wonderful to meet the artists from the exhibition as well as meet with old and new friends. Zeal Harris and I lead the workshop on Black Feminist Narratives, discussing internal and external narratives, places in which stories are told, and ways they are spread and retold, diversity in stories and storytelling, memory, history and the personal. Check out this video from event. CAAM is doing some wonderful work!
