Selection Begins For City Hall Public Art Installation
The City of Claremont invites artists and artist teams to submit qualifications for a site-specific outdoor public art installation to be exhibited in front of City Hall in downtown Claremont. This is a very visible public space in Claremont’s bustling village area near the Claremont Colleges, close to museums and the train. Call for Mural Artists: Art in the Parks, Claremont The City of Claremont seeks lead artists who will help engage and bring together the community in a special art-making experience. The artist selected--in conjunction with local schools and students--will conceptualize, design, and create a public art mural. This interactive mural is to be painted on the exterior of the Wheeler Park Building. Professional and emerging artists from Claremont and neighboring communities are encouraged to apply.
